. She's smart and hilarious and she tells it like it is.2. It's official. I have my period. Miscarriage #2 is officially old news. Now begins the monthly "Am I? Am I not?" daisy-petal briggade. Tune in next cycle as this zany adventure in fertility (pun not intended, but subliminally appropriate?) continues.

Katha Pollitt is the judge of a nonfiction writing contest I was considering entering. I decided to do a little research on her, to see if maybe what I write would fit her sensibility. And then I spent the afternoon reading her writing for The Nation.
Whether or not I enter the contest at this point has more to do with the deadline than anything else. Doubt I'll make it.
