As for the 6-month limit for participants, I imagine many might wonder if I believe that grief ends or should end at any particular point. To the contrary, I believe that many women still feel many of the same feelings long after their miscarriages, but for my study, I'm looking at recent miscarriages because I believe that's the time period when support people can do the most good (or harm) in helping women through the experience. I think blogs like this one, the forums I've seen online, the support groups and organizations all go a long way to help women and families cope and feel less alone, and I'm hoping that my results can help healthcare providers be more sensitive to the needs of grieving families.Lisa Rosenzweignoreply@blogger.com
